A word about screens at Mass
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, to whom we are obedient, holds “the perspective that since so many people spend much of their time looking at screens, the Sacred Liturgy ought to be a prayerful break from that experience. The bishops also think that screens are a distraction from what is actually taking place in the liturgy.”
However, the bishops do see the value in personal devices that help you understand and enter into the Mass. If you are able, print this and bring it with you, so that nothing stands between you and Heaven coming down to Earth. And if you aren’t able, you are welcome to follow along here. Simply say a quiet prayer first, to be fully present to so great a gift.
The Order of the Mass is coming. We have asked the USCCB for permission to publish it here. Until it arrives, ask at your parish. Most keep missals in the pews, and someone will gladly help you find your place.
